How budgets work
Each category gets an amount for the month. Everything you spend in it counts, pending or not; transfers between your own accounts and anything without a category don’t.
With carry-over on, a category that ends the month under adds what’s left to next month’s amount. One that ends over takes the difference out of it.
Months start on the 1st. Change that in Settings.
